Little River County Sheriff’s Office gets new patrol cars
Little River County Sheriff Bobby Walraven (center) shakes hands and receives the keys of three ‘new’ patrol units from Ashdown Mayor James Sutton as Ashdown Police Chief Mark Ardwin looks on. The cars are former Ashdown Police Department patrol cars donated to the county to replace older cars.
“All three of these vehicles are 2007 models,” Walraven said. “They each have 100,000 miles on them and will replace three of our vehicles that have over 280,000 miles on them. Two of the new cars are Dodge Chargers. One will go to the school resource officer and the other to Foreman to patrol that end of the county. The other is a Chevy Trail Blazer. We are very thankful to Mayor Sutton, Chief Ardwin and the City of Ashdown for donating these cars. While they are not new, they are new to us and very much appreciated. We are grateful to have such a wonderful relationship with the City of Ashdown.”
